So in between whining about my medical issues, I have been watching Youtube video's and collecting treestand fall arrest gear.

Yesterday we got the one week out recap Email from our Bear Hunt Outfitter on what to bring-mainly money-cash USD. I talked to my son about how much he was bringing for gratuities. We were on agreement on that. Oh and the outfitter says they have a ground blind all set up for me.

We get in the day before the hunt and will be staying over night at a hotel. I told my son I would write him a check for my half of the room, but he said we were good. So, I told him I would buy him breakfast-sure hope they have a free breakfast buffet. :)

So today should be a hectic and chaotic. I am sitting here this morning actually feeling excited about this trip. I have hunted bear before. I have been on outfitted trips before. I have been on hunts with my son before. I am still excited. Plane leaves 7:15 in the morning, Uber will be here at 4:15 am.

I think that is what hunting is about for me. As long as it is still exciting then I will go hunting. When it is no longer exciting, then I am done-and most likely dirt in my face time..

But, I can assure you, the Way i feel right now I ain't done! Watch for pictures next week.

Good luck on the hunt! I’m jealous.

I’ve killed over 300 whitetail in regular season and on our DMAP for the state over the years.
Prior to every shot/bow release, my right leg goes into an uncontrollable spasm.
When that excitement leave my body, I’m done hunting.

I think ya have enough gun there!

Hope all went well with the surgery. It's been 18 hours since you posted.
