I survived. I am doing fine. I have not ate since Monday evening at 6. They are going to feed me at 5:00am. Is clear broth, Jello and coffee food? Right now sounds like a banquet.

I am talking With a fellow on the British Militaria board about what to expect. He warned me the used gas to inflate my abdomen during surgery and it migrates to the shoulder and causes pain . he forgot to say excruciating pain.

This morning he warning that your testicles swell up. Yikes, well at least they let me keep them.

31 minutes until breakfast.

I am home. I survived. I am still a bit sore. The first morning it felt like Mike Tyson used my belly for a punching bag.

I feel much better this morning. Notice I said better, not well.

The doctor was pleased with the results. He said the prostate was intact and not deformed, no visible tumors. He believes the cancer was fully contained. Test results next Monday.

So now I shall get busy and write the hunt report for you guys. Be patient.

Agree! Stay off your feet and enjoy being waited on al long as you can!

Two week plus, update. Recovery continues, getting cabin fever, wife is tyrant. There is a blurry fine line between tyranny and love....

Last weeks pathology report was pessimistic. During the surgery the robot removed 18 lymph glands from my pelvis as well as the prostate. Nine on the left side, nine on the right side. Two on the right side had trace elements of my cancer.

I have to wait 2 months for a new PSA test. That gives my system time to flush residual PSA out of my system. In two months if the PSA test comes back zero, we go back to quarterly PSA test to monitor. Elevated PSA, the doctor will evaluate the results and determine a course of treatment. The Dr. said it will most likely be a course of hormone treatment to suppress testosterone levels.

The doctor said said in his over 20 years of practice he has had a number of older patience with this same type of aggressive cancer. He has successfully treated these patients. He said he has had several pass away, but not from this cancer. Rather he said they pass from other age related causes. He currently treating several other patients with this cancer. He told me the patient he saw just before me is his longest running patient. He has been treating him for 8 years and he is still going strong. The man is 84 years old.

I'll take 8 years-that would get me to 85, two months shy of 86.

In the mean time, down at the lease the weeds are growing up in front of the cameras and the feeders all need filled . I need to get down there and take care of business. This 10 pound weight limit is killing me. There is work to be done...deer season is coming.

the 30 day weight restriction has passed. Wife says I must wait until Nov. 1. She's no doctor , what does she know. She yelled at me day before yesterday for bring all the bags of groceries in all at once....take them one bag at time she said. How sweet, I still get to carry the groceries , just one bag at a time, 7 trips. Oh yeah she keeps reminding me the doctor said I am supposed to walk a lot. Evil woman.

So , Dr. weight restriction expired, yesterday I grabbed two 20 lb bottles of propane in the garage to carry them around to the shop to cast some bullets.. Pick them up, one in each hand, promptly put them back down. Don't really need these bullets until spring anyway. I think I will wait a while to move these bottle, maybe one at a time.

Darn wife. Hate it when she is right.

Tomorrow we are headed down to the lease. Feels almost like liberation day. Excited. I am going to do chores that should have been done the first of September. I thank the Lord I am even able to go down to the lease at all.

I am only going to set up two blinds, maybe a 3rd. Grass and weeds need cut. Need to take inventory of what i need in each blind. For Crossbow and kids I set up the BOG Tripods. I'll need two of those. I have two cameras not running. Did I shut them off or are batteries a dead?

...and I am taking my fishing pole. I haven't caught a bass since April or May.

Happy to hear you’re feeling up to it. Remember don’t over do it.
Yes Dear....

Great day. First time I have been down to the lease in 4 months. Pretty dry down there. Ponds were low.

I got 1000 lbs of corn bought and made arrangement for a guy to fill my Feeders. I got the feeder at Elk stand up and running. Now all it needs is corn.

The heat was bothering the wife, and me also. This is my first heavy activity since surgery last month. So we cut our feeder work short. Well I did forget the battery to the weed whacker. That was one of the main reasons for going down. I did get the feeder going at Elk stand. Still have to get a couple of cameras going. Other small things need done. I am released to hunt starting November 1.

I had to check on the fish. They seemed to be doing fine.

We are headed back down next week I am going to pick up the travel trailer and take it in for service. It has just been sitting for the past 4 months, not used.

I am a bit sore this morning. I am left hand and throw the fishing rod with my left arm. My elbow is sore this morning when I move it. To compensate I am drinking coffee right handed. Left shoulder is a bit stiff also.

Not complaining, just reporting an increase in my morale.
